Tallinn Philharmonic Society is a concert organization located in the historic Mustpeade house at Pikk tn 26 in the Old Town of Tallinn. Established by the Tallinn City Government in 1994, the institution brings together two branches cultivating different genres: an international musical theater festival - Birgitta Festival and the only professional and permanent chamber orchestra in Estonia - Tallinna Kammerorkester.

Established in 1993, the 20-member Tallinn Chamber Orchestra resides in the Vennaste Hall on the second floor of
House of Blackheads, but concerts are given in the familiar White Hall. Numerous concert tours have led the orchestra to perform in many concert halls, both here and elsewhere - New York's Carnegie Hall, Berlin Concert Hall, Beijing's Forbidden City concert hall, to name just a few. The artistic director of the orchestra has been Tõnu Kaljuste, Juha Kangas, Eri Klas, Risto Joost, from the 2019/2020 season Tõnu Kaljuste, the founder of the orchestra, will continue again.

The Birgitta Festival started in 2005 under the leadership of Eri Klas, and under his artistic direction it developed into Tallinn's top musical event every summer. The festival, which takes place in the ruins of the Pirita monastery, has featured the world's highest peaks and the big names of the future, who will remember the towering medieval walls in the sunset and the gloom of summer evenings for years to come. One festival program can accommodate an average of 6-7 high-level international musical theater performances, and the festival program includes artists from Argentina to South Korea. The artistic director of the festival in 2002-2016 was Eri Klas, in 2017-2018 Risto Joost, the 2019 program was dedicated to maestro Klas's 80th birthday and was prepared in cooperation with his like-minded people, the artistic director of the 2020 festival is Dmitri Bertman and the artistic director of the 2022 festival Tõnu Kaljuste.

The administration of the Tallinn Philharmonic is staffed by dedicated people who work together for the high level of the hall's operation and concerts. Various events can be organized in Mustpeade House, starting with exclusive receptions and representative events of the city, and ending with weddings and birthday parties.

The directors of the Tallinn Philharmonic have been Urmas Kõiv, Tarmo Leinatamm, Jüri Leiten and Marko Lõhmus, since 2014 the director Margit Tohver-Aints has been in charge of the group's operation.
